1 Jn.3: 1 says, "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called children of God! " Gal.5: 13 says, “Rather serve one another in love.” Heb.10: 24 says, “Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” God desires that we serve one another in love by giving of ourselves to help each other grow in Christ as fellow-believers.
God and I can’t go out for coffee or even give each other a hug.

We are commanded in the Scriptures to show love to all believers, but we are not commanded to make all believers our friends.

It’s one thing to talk to your friends about wanting to know God, but how desperately do you want it?
It feels like Christianity has too many formulas already! He cannot be tamed or manipulated into a relationship with us.
